My favourite hobby is to solve Rubik’s cube. It is a very interesting thing and not a game. It was invented by Erno Rubik, a Hungarian sculptor and professor of architecture. It was invented in 1974 in Hungary. There are 43 quintillion or 43,252,003,274,489,866,000 combinations to solve a 3 ×3×3 Rubik’s cube. There are 45 types of cube made in the world till now and each of it having billions, trillions or quintillion ways to solve them. Some of the cubes are 3 ×3×3 , 2 ×2 , 4 ×4 , 5 ×5 up to 13 ×13 Mega minx , skewb, clock, pyraminx, mirror cube, barell cube etc.
There are famous people who solve Rubiks cube some of them are : Feliks Zemdegs, Jessica Fridrich, MathsVal, Lucas Etter, Drew Boods ,Laszlo Brio and many more people .There are many competitions with categories like two hands, one hand ,with legs etc. Each cube has its own world record like 2 ×2 has 0.33 seconds, 3 ×3×3 has 4.46 seconds, etc. Many companies manufacture Rubik’s cube, they try their best to make a cube strong, smooth, flexible and to be with a grip in hand. One manufacture company name ‘Gans’ had fit a timer in the cube itself. Some other Rubik’s compnies are Rubik’s brand, Oskar, Witfden, V-cube, Shengshou, Moyu, ,Mofang Jiaoshi etc. Some interesting facts about Rubik’s cube are that it makes our brain sharper. Less than 5.8 % people in the world can solve a standard Rubik’s cube. A standard Rubik’s cube is 5.7 cm. Erno Rubik named his company as ‘Buvos Kocka ‘in Hungary. Erno Rubik made it because he wanted a working model to explain three- dimensional shapes as he was a mathematician too.
So , I think that Rubik’s cube is a fun science which everyone can enjoy.
